Our Mission
Half-Space is a football website founded by young football fans that contains articles about the tactical aspects of football. Focusing on what is happening on rather than off the pitch, this site offers weekly analysis of matches and teams from different leagues and can enhance your view of football.
We know that small tactical details determine whether matches are won or lost. In hindsight, we also realize that successful teams are uncoincidentally tactically brilliant teams as well. In our country many say that football tactics are only about formations and meaningless numbers. However this is a very wrong viewpoint. As Pep Guardiola also says, football is not just about 4-2-3-1's or 3-5-2's.
Formations are just telephone numbers. Football is a matter of spaces created by the movement of opponents and recognising the moments a team creates those spaces.

Two teams that play with a 4-3-3 formation on paper may look completely different from each other on the pitch depending on how they exploit the gaps. Similarly, a team can position itself completely differently in the 1st and 3rd zones.
Our goal in setting up this site is to inform our readers by giving examples through different teams within this framework and to contribute to their approach to the tactical side of the game
